Controls before commerce.
Morbid Safety may eventually earn commissions from carefully selected equipment links. Revenue will never decide the hazard, rewrite the investigation, or turn a product into a promise.
Offer equipment second.
Earn the commission third.
Claims standard
Say what equipment can do. Never invent the outcome.
Every recommendation must connect to an identified hazard, explain where the product fits, and preserve the limits of the source material and manufacturer instructions.
Measured and supportable
- “This equipment addresses the identified hazard.”
- “This equipment could reduce the risk when properly selected and used.”
- “This may be one part of the required control system.”
No survival promises
- “This product would have saved the worker.”
- “This guarantees protection.”
- “OSHA approved” or “OSHA endorsed.”
- Any claim that equipment makes an unsafe work method safe.
Disclosure standard
The reader sees the relationship before the link.
When tracked links activate, a plain-language commission disclosure will appear close to each recommendation. A distant footer notice or the words “affiliate link” alone will not carry the burden.
Plain-language notice
Morbid Safety may earn a commission if you purchase through this link.
Activates with Amazon links
“As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.”
This required statement is shown here as a planned disclosure only. Morbid Safety is not currently an Amazon Associate and no Amazon links are active.
Selection standard
Professional judgment chooses the product—not the payout.
Fall Protection Field Picks are equipment the editor would buy as a safety professional after reviewing the intended application and manufacturer information. That statement does not mean every item has been personally used or hands-on tested.
Open catalog, exact links
Recommendations may expand as new hazards and tasks are covered. Each specific retailer link must still match a documented hardware configuration. Wearer-sized products use a size-to-SKU map rather than a universal size, and commission never justifies a substitution.
The seller is reviewed separately
Purchase links must match the approved product or exact permitted configuration and come from a manufacturer, authorized channel, or otherwise verified seller.
Application timing
Build the evidence before starting the clock.
Amazon says it reviews an application after three qualifying sales within the first 180 days, excludes personal orders, and expects robust original content—a stated rule of thumb is at least ten posts.
That gives Morbid Safety a functioning public body of original work and a realistic chance to generate three legitimate qualifying sales inside Amazon’s 180-day review window.
Program requirements can change. Review the current Amazon application review process, Amazon disclosure requirement, and FTC endorsement guidance before activation.
Future direct sales
Retail margin is different from affiliate commission.
If Morbid Safety later sells equipment directly, the page will identify Morbid Safety as the seller and provide the applicable price, fulfillment, return, warranty, and customer-service terms. It will not describe an in-house sale as an affiliate purchase.
